Krishna observed that bathing without garments was an offense to Varuna, the deity of water, and resolved to correct this fault on their behalf. He took their clothes and asked them to come out of the water with folded hands in full surrender, teaching them to shed bodily ego (dehatma abhimana). By offering complete namaskara with both hands, the girls atoned for their offense, and Krishna assured them that their devotional desire (bhagavat kama) is not harmful but a means to liberation. He distinguished between worldly desire, which binds, and love directed toward God, which purifies and grants both worldly and spiritual fulfillment.[/EN_DESC] [TE_TITLE]గోపికా వస్త్రాపహరణం: కృష్ణుడు దేహాభిమానం తొలగించుట[/TE_TITLE] [TE_DESC]మార్గశీర్ష మాసంలో గోపకన్యలు కాత్యాయని వ్రతం ఆచరిస్తూ యమునలో వివస్త్రలై స్నానం చేయడం వరుణ దేవతకు అపచారమని శ్రీకృష్ణుడు గుర్తించాడు. వారి వస్త్రాలను తీసుకుని చెట్టుపై కూర్చుని, రెండు చేతులతో నమస్కరించి వస్త్రాలు తీసుకోమని ఆదేశించాడు. ఈ లీల ద్వారా గోపికల దేహాత్మాభిమానాన్ని తొలగించి, వారి అపచారానికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తం చేయించాడు. భగవంతుని యందు నిలిపిన కామమే భగవత్కామమని, అది విషయ కామమువలె అనర్థహేతువు కాదని, ముక్తికి సాధనమని స్వామి గోపికలకు తెలిపాడు. ఈ విధంగా వ్రత ఫలాన్ని ప్రసాదించి గోపికలను సాగనంపాడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడు.[/TE_DESC]
