Canvas Studio Boston Creator Daphne Walker

The doors of Canvas Studio/The Design Lab opened one year ago this month.  I had the chance to sit down with the creator, Daphne Walker. She doesn't necessarily consider herself to be an artist, but definitely has a creative side, which is clear but what she has and continues to create inside the studio. Its not only a fun, amazing experience but she keeps in mind her community in the Hyde Park section of Boston, always listening to them and creating special events for all to feel welcome and represented.  The Canvas Studio was intentionally built to be an intimate space (fitting approximately 18 people at one sitting) where people could reconnect, especially coming off of the pandemic.  Clearly this unique space has gotten attention with viral social media videos and sold out events for months in advance!
