Marlen va a comprar la leche a la tienda de Lester cuando un estruendo rompe la calma de aquella mañana en Puerto Limón: están cayendo bombas en el mar. Aunque su familia es del bando ganador, pronto Marlen sentirá el miedo de los perseguidos, pues la familia de su amiga Minerva se esconde en su desván.
