Capacity to Receive

Jacob cried out to God to deliver him from Esau, but God was up to so much more than that. As Jacob continued to try to solve his problem in his own wisdom like he always had, God was preparing a struggle that would change Jacob forever. The most important thing that can come out of our season of fasting and prayer is a change in who we are. Sometimes we pray to escape the struggle when God wants to use it to increase our capacity so that we can receive His blessing.
