from Needless Things
Welcome to Cape Fear Chronicles on the Needless Things Podcast! In the coming months we'll be revisiting the various iterations of Cape Fear, as well as some of its impact on pop culture, as well as a full review of the new Apple TV miniseries. In 1962 theatrical audiences were hit with a tour-de-force adaptation of John D. MacDonald's novel The Executioners. Starring Gregory Peck, Polly Bergen, and a diabolical Robert Mitchum, the film presented a human incarnation of the devil known as Max Cady. While the film underperformed, its legacy is undeniable; having spawned two remakes - a film and a miniseries - and numerous pop culture homages and references. Listen in as Dave and Mike Gordon discuss this landmark film and its impact! "Procrastibate" by LeSexoflex.com Social Media: Needless Things on Instagram Needless Things on Bluesky
