Chesley, a former standout at the University of Minnesota, served as captain in his final NCAA season, posting a career-high 20 points and leading his team in blocked shots. After his collegiate season, he joined the AHL's Hershey Bears and tallied three points in four games, showcasing his NHL readiness.
