Comfort: a longing for pleasure, safety or security 4. Approval: a longing to be accepted, admired or desired We can repent of our longing for: Power by submitting to His greater power within me. Control by surrendering to His ultimate control. Comfort by remembering He is the greater comfort. Approval by rejoicing in His gracious approval of us because of Jesus.
