Car Rides and Conspiracies, pt 1

from Tempus Multae · host Pseudonym Social

We meet our group of hunters in a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant, the Magic Wok, also known as Mrs. Betty’s. They have gathered there after responding to a posting offering a reward to whoever can deal with a creature that has been stalking the lab. Apparently, the creature attacked someone recently and one Dr. Benjamin Whaley is interested in making sure it doesn’t harm anyone else. They discuss what little they know of the situation before deciding to go to Dr. Whaley’s house to get more information. There they get the name of Brooke Fletcher, the woman who was attacked. He mentions that his granddaughter informed him of the situation and that she will be able to get them passes to enter the lab and talk to Brooke. So they load up once more, this time to drive to the lab. Bart and Roz spend a lot of time discussing aliens and debating if Star Trek is a documentary. Hock asks Annabelle about her interest in the job, given that it is not often a preschool teacher decides to hunt monsters. While in the lab, Bart picks up on some weird vibes. These are leftovers from corrupting magic that doesn’t belong, originating from deep within the lab. It could possibly be the cause of whatever is going on. They are able to get some information from Brooke (eventually), mostly detailing what the creature looked like. It is obvious that she does not want to talk about it, and that she doesn’t trust them very much. Theme music: Deadlight Chronicles by Nicolas Jeudy / DARK FANTASY STUDIOSound effects: Freesound.org, ZapsplatCheck us out: https://pseudonymsocial.wordpress.com/Follow us: https://twitter.com/PseudonymSocialSupport us: https://www.patreon.com/pseudonymsocial/Buy me a coffee: https://www.ko-fi.com/briannajean
