from Judge Mathis Podcast · host Telepictures

First, The plaintiff used to be best friends with the defendant. The plaintiff says the defendant asked to use her car, but she refused. Then, the plaintiff woke up and her car and the defendant were gone. The plaintiff found her car stranded on the side of the road, so she’s suing for car damages and tow fees. The defendant is countersuing for unreturned property. Then, The plaintiff and defendant met at a bar, and they started dating. The plaintiff says they went on a road trip, but then he and the defendant got into a huge argument. He loaned the defendant money, but she has not repaid, so he’s suing. The defendant argues her ex has alcohol problems and he became verbally abusive to her when they were together. She thinks the plaintiff is suing prematurely because she told him she could not pay him back immediately. Plus, The plaintiff had a one-night stand with the defendant, and several years later, he heard he fathered her child. He claims the defendant denied he was the father, then later walked it back and said the child was his. Now, it’s straining his own marriage. He is petitioning the court for a DNA test and is suing for emotional distress. The defendant argues the plaintiff is just afraid of his wife. She is countersuing for harassment.
