Cardinal prays at "deeply heartfelt and emotional" Mass for victims of Grenfell Tower fire

from Catholic Church · host Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales

Today marks a year since the fire at Grenfell Tower in Kensington, west London, that claimed 72 lives. A Mass was held at a local Catholic church on the eve of the anniversary, 13 June, at St Francis of Assisi in nearby Notting Hill, to remember and pray for those who lost their lives - 15 of whom were parisioners. Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, celebrated the Mass and reflected on an emotional and prayer-filled evening.
