Cardinals at Home to Stop Villanova | Louisville Football News

Louisville, ranked 24th and still buzzing after a gritty loss to Ole Miss, returns home Friday night to face Villanova in a showdown at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. The Cardinals, winners of all three home openers under Jeff Brohm and on a 26-game FCS win streak since 1987, aim to turn things around against the Wildcats — who narrowly beat Bucknell and are making their first-ever trip to Louisville. With quarterback Lincoln Kienholz looking to ignite the offense and a Villanova defense that’s allowed big plays, Louisville must control the tempo early. This is more than just another game — it’s a chance to prove they can bounce back and build momentum for the season.
