Cardinals Bullpen Battle & Pirates Preview | St. Louis News

The Cardinals bullpen saved the day again as Gordon Graceffo, in just his second career start, tossed three no-hit innings to lift the team after losing the first two games against the Orioles. With Andre Pallante still sidelined and the rotation stretched thin, relievers Justin Bruihl and Caleb Ferguson finished strong — but the bullpen is now dangerously depleted heading into the Pirates series. Cade Winquest was promoted and may pitch Friday, highlighting the team’s constant roster shuffle. The Pirates’ starters are now set: Quinn Mathews, Kyle Leahy, and Matthew Liberatore — with Leahy looking sharp lately, though Mathews and Liberatore have been inconsistent. At least having a clear plan for the Pirates is a welcome change from the Orioles’ chaotic setup. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
