Cardinals Edge Giants with Rookie Fire | St. Louis News

Cardinals edge Giants 2-1 in a thriller, as rookie pitcher Quinn Mathews dazzles with a no-hitter into the sixth, striking out eight and showcasing elite command. The offense, led by Alec Burleson and rookie catcher Leo Bernal—who delivered three of St. Louis’ eight hits—found timely magic. Despite a late Giants rally, the bullpen, capped by Riley O’Brien’s 37th save, locked it down. Mathews’ six-plus innings marked his longest start yet, proving he’s ready to carry this young rotation. A gritty, signature win that signals momentum for St. Louis. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
