REFERENCE: Poster 434 NICOLE PAGEAU, Trillium Health Centre, Ontario Stroke patients may be going through pointless tests, according to a poster presented by researchers at the Trillium Health Centre in Ottawa. The Stroke clinic there looked at whether routinely ordered tests, trans thoracic echo and 24 hour rhythm monitoring, actually changed patients' treatment, and found that generally, the results of these tests didn’t change a thing. Helen Morant talked to Nicole Pageau about their findings.
