Jesus said to him, "Tend my sheep." - John 21:16Three times on this sequence, Jesus asks Peter if he loves him. Three times Peter answers that he does. Three times Jesus replies, then that being the case, you go and feed and care for my sheep. We express our love and devotion to God by the way we care and nurture for God’s people. Now there may be some who limit their understanding of God’s people to a particular faith or denomination. But this is incorrect. As the Psalmist writes, “The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” (Psalm 24) We are all God’s sheep. There are no exceptions or exclusions. Everyone reading, watching, or listening to this has someone they can help, someone they can be a blessing to, someone they can encourage and support. These someone’s are God’s sheep.
