Care Industry Update

from Together We Care Hosted by Jay Richters

Home Care Packages - Announcement The Federal Budget allocated $1.6 billion to create an extra 23,000 home care packages. Department of Health figures show 28,000 people died while on the waitlist in the past two years. More than 100,000 people are on the waiting list, and coronavirus means demand is increasing. Jay talks about why this really isn't good enough for the level of care that has been assessed in our country and the fact that there are not 77,000 beds in residential care to accomodate these people if there situations changed.
