They are called the faceless men and women of our society and often they areyour friendly neighbour. They hold no malice to another, but the desire to stay under the radar, collect their rewards from life is enough for them to not see, not feel, not hear and not care that their actions are a piece of the cumulative intransigence of others plight which in turn destroys lives. NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) is often not even the case for often it is, but more often it is a hurt against people a long way removed and some false premise within their minds says, "It's o/k, I am just doing my job". Listen, hear and ask yourself, "Am I one of these people? Is my neighbour or relation one?" The Nuremberg defence is no defence at all.
