Caregiver Scammer Back in Custody | Miami News

A 27-year-old woman, Jamisha Shamari Sylvain, is back behind bars after a dramatic SWAT standoff in Deerfield Beach — this time accused of posing as a caregiver to steal from the elderly. Just months after her release on similar charges, she allegedly infiltrated homes, used victims’ bank cards, and even removed her electronic monitoring device. Authorities say she targeted seniors with fake caregiver roles, stealing cash and banking info — and the investigation is still expanding as new victims come forward. If you or someone you know may have been targeted, report it now — and always verify caregiver identities and watch your finances.
