Carine Bassili, Musician, Ambassador of Peace

On October 1st, as Iran released 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, Carine Bassili released her song “October Rain” to the world. Her courageous decision to translate Israeli Eurovision contestant Eden Golan’s song "Hurricane" into Arabic was the obvious next step in her solidarity with Israel. Carine, a devout Christian Lebanese women was banned from Lebanon in 2020, for musically collaborating with her Israeli friend. She doesn't view herself as fearless.
