I had a conversation recently that completely changed the way I think about relationships.We were talking about the idea that the people who trigger us are often simply mirrors - revealing patterns, wounds and lessons that already existed within us. That if we hadn't met that person, life would simply have found another way to teach us the same thing.And I understand that perspective.But I don't believe it.Because what if the person and the lesson aren't so easily separated? What if the meaning doesn't simply exist waiting to be discovered, but is actually created through the relationship itself?The timing. The chemistry. The love. The conflict. The things you bring out in one another.
