Carlow Councilors Ben Ward and Charlie Murphy - Rathrush Green Energy Park Concerns - 11/08/2026

Residents of Rathoe turned out in force last night to discuss their concerns regarding the proposed Rathrush Green Energy Park. Health, traffic congestion, scale, ground water supply, radon exposure and impacts on house prices were just some of the local concerns raised. Our Ethna Quirke was there and spoke to local Councillor’s Ben Ward and Charlie Murphy after the meeting.The company will hold a public information session in Rathoe Community hall tomorrow from 2 to 9pm where people are encouraged to find out more about the project.
