Carlton Doom - Live @ AVA Festival 2021

This weeks Mix Of The Week comes as a pleasant surprise, as Carlton Doom has been so kind to share his recorded set from the 2021 edition of AVA Festival with us. What a way to kickstart your weekend! Carlton Doom needs little introduction, as he is one of the most talented artists that our island has to offer. Boasting an array of releases on labels that include Cheeky Music Group, Hypercolour, Hotflush, Deep Sea Frequency and more. He possesses a vast musical style, bundled with copious amounts of knowledge within music production. The genre-merging producer has become synonymous with experimenting in different styles, mood and colours, while still portraying a somewhat identifiable sound, through warping synth lines and funked up broken rhythms. This mix is a live recorded set from his appearance at last years AVA Festival, where Carlton Doom performed at The Baltic. At a time when this was the first proper outing for a lot of festival goers due to the covid restrictions that were imposed as a result of the pandemic. This recording also includes the audio from the crowd at the set, which makes it even all the more special.
