Artificial Intelligence is advancing by leaps and bounds and its impact is being felt virtually everywhere. Autonomous vehicles will one day be the norm, which is requiring car insurance companies to rethink their market. Since about 90 percent of road accidents are said to be caused by human factor, autonomous vehicles will likely have far fewer accidents and insurance claims in the future. Yael Benenisti, the deputy CEO of Insurtech Israel, says it’s an opportunity for insurance companies to widen their service to turn vehicles into data sensors that could be marketed.
