Carmilla Chapter 13

In which the mysterious habits and ailments of a young lady give rise to fearful reflections and a journey to the desolate ruins of the Karnstein estate, stirring old resentments and dark stories of vampiric malefactions. We encounter a grizzled woodman and hear of grim exploits involving the decapitation of revenants, as the shadow of a sinister Countess Karnstein lingers over the forsaken village and its haunted forest.
