Carney's Quiet Push for National Unity | Calgary News

Prime Minister Mark Carney made a heartfelt stop in Banff, rallying support for Alberta’s place in Canada as he signed an RV for the Forever Canadian campaign—writing “Canada is everyone and for everyone.” Though he’s kept a low profile on the campaign trail, Carney’s calm presence and focus on economic unity have resonated with advocates like Thomas Lukaszuk, who believe his leadership is crucial. While federal ministers meet with Alberta leaders and urge voters to stay, they’ve stopped short of direct campaigning—emphasizing partnership over politics. Local officials praise Carney’s community-focused approach, noting his team’s rare, meaningful engagement across Alberta’s towns and cities.
