Carnivorist Chats Episode 54 "Q&A Day 5" with the Low Ox Coach Monique Attinger

from Carnivorist Chats · host Carnivorist Chats

Monique Attinger is a certified holistic nutritionist and renowned expert on the plant compound called oxalate and histamine intolerance. She has over 15 years of experience treating, researching, and teaching about how to navigate low oxalate and low histamine diets. It was an honor to welcome back Monique to the podcast for my fifth Q&A episode. We had listeners submit their questions beforehand on Instagram as follows; 1. Daily amount of oxalate a person with disturbed digestion should take 2. Does non fermented dairy contain oxalates? Still reacting to butter and milk 3. Will histamine effecting hormones (estrogen) ever balance out when on and off dumping? 4. Crystals coming out of the eyes. Is this a real thing that happens? 5. Can excess histamine cause PVC problems with the heart? Eg. Extra and recurring? 6. Parasites and oxalate? Thoughts? 7. Oxalate induced brain fog. Why it happens and how it heals? 8. Connection between oxalate and CIRS or are they two separate issues? 9. Do oxalate and histamine block weight loss and if so what is the mechanism? 10. To avoid histamine, are egg yolks better than whites? 11. Since supplementing minerals can increase dumping symptoms, could eating mineral rich meats induce it as well? 12. How many milligrams of oxalate do you eat daily, and foods you recommend for those who have been low oxalate for several years. 13. Thyroid antibodies have gone up on a low ox diet, is this normal? Here is the link to the study Monique reference is the episode. https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/epdf/10.1161/01.RES.58.1.1 Monique brought her expertise and wisdom in answering these questions, and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.
