Merrrrrrrry Christmas and welcome to an all-new episode! Today I am so excited to welcome back the great Eric Bauza who is joined by his partner Caro Buermann. They are the founders of Saturday Morning Cartoons United which is a charity screening series that celebrates animation, nostalgia, and the warmth of that feeling you had every Saturday morning growing up with cartoons and cereal! Cartoons United partners with charities including AnimAID to aid in fire relief and humanitarian aid efforts. Caro and Eric join me to chat all about their event this Saturday, Dec 27th screening the beloved Pee-Wee's Playhouse Christmas special at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA where there will be an exclusive merch pop up, a performance by Bob Baker's marionettes, hosting by DJ Lance Rock of Nickelodeon's "Yo Gabba Gabba," and an array of special guests including E.G. Daily (Rugrats, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure) and Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) who will be performing with his group the Hi-Seas. We also get real nerdy about our love for Paul Reubens + Pee-wee, the toys we loved as kids, our favorite toons, the cultural and comedic powerhouse that was Jim Varney + Ernest P.
