Our esteemed guest:  Carol Gee.  Growing up, while Carol Gee dreamed of writing the kinds of books she loved, the women in her ‘village’ saw her chalk in hand writing on a blackboard. “You speak so well, you would make a great teacher” they declared. As life would have it, Gee went on to become an educator (21 years at Emory). However not before she had served eight years in the Air Force (later retiring after 21 years) as well as enjoyed a brief stint as a mental health counselor. Owner of A Feast Of Words, LLC, a small writing service, Gee describes herself as an ‘accidental’ entrepreneur. Consequently, it was while filling out a project’s tax ID form that she realized that she was uncomfortable putting her social security number on forms. And that she needed a name to encompass all her writing streams; her freelance writing, public speaking etc. Among the services provided by A Feast Of Words, includes copyediting clients’ manuscripts, and researching and writing business cases taught in classrooms at Emory, and across the nation.  However, it’s her books that women call ‘girlfriend’ books, because of their humorous, inspirational female topics, that Gee feels she has discovered her true purpose.
