Carol, The Good Dinosaur, Creed, The Danish Girl
This week's Thanksgiving edition of Movie Date includes reviews "Carol," "The Good Dinosaur," and "Creed"; as well as a conversation with the screenwriter of "The Danish Girl." "Carol," which is one of this year's Oscar contender, is directed by Todd Haynes and stars Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara as two women in love in the 1950s. "The Good Dinosaur" is both a western and a little boy lost story, courtesy of Disney Pixar. "Creed" continues the "Rocky" legacy, with Sylvester Stallone playing the now-retired boxer and Michael B. Jordan playing the son of his rival/friend Apollo Creed. And "The Danish Girl" tell the story of one of the first people to ever undergo sexual confirmation surgery, over 80 years ago. The film's screenwriter, Lucinda Coxen," talks with Movie Date about the real story behind the film. All that, plus trivia!
