Carolina Gonzalez on Building Resilience Through Mindfulness

from Unspoken Emotions · host Rachel Elimelech

In this episode, Rachel speaks with Carolina Gonzalez, a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher based in Sydney, Australia. Carolina shares her transformative journey from chaos to clarity, revealing how she turned to meditation and mindfulness during some of the most challenging times in her life, including the breakdown of her marriage and the loss of her mother to cancer. Through heartfelt storytelling, Carolina discusses the importance of acknowledging and sitting with our emotions, the power of self-love, and the profound impact of mindfulness practices. KEY MOMENTS Life is inherently unpredictable and fragile. Understanding the impermanence of life can empower individuals to take risks, express themselves authentically, and live fully without the fear of losing control. Mindfulness teaches individuals to pause and create space between a trigger and their response. This practice allows for greater emotional regulation and helps people respond to situations with intention rather than reactivity. Cultivating self-compassion is crucial for healing and personal growth. Acknowledging one's emotions without judgment fosters a deeper connection to oneself and enhances the ability to connect with others. Meditation and mindfulness do not require extensive time commitments. Even a few minutes of intentional breathing or reflection can significantly impact mental clarity and emotional well-being. Asking for help and expressing emotions is a sign of courage, not weakness. Sharing feelings with others can lead to liberation and healing, reminding individuals that they are not alone in their struggles. BEST MOMENTS "Life has a way to show us that we have no control over external factors." "Meditation is not about keeping your mind clear. In fact, I don't think any human can keep their mind clear." "The more you sit with it, the more these strong emotions start to transform and start to soften." "It's okay to feel how they are. And you don't need to work things out." "Expressing our emotions is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of so much courage."    To connect with your guest Carolina Gonzalez: Website: www.carolinagonzalezmindfulness.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/carolina.gonzalez.minfulness   To connect with your host follow Me HERE: Insta: https://www.instagram.com/rachel_unspokenemotions/  TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@rachel.unspoken.em Email: [email protected] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rachel.elimelech   To Buy Rachel a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/unspokenemotions  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rachel-elimelech-a07a1a46/  To join the waitlist for Rachel’s Unspoken to Unstoppable Breakthrough Programme - email [email protected] quoting reference “Breakthrough" HOST BIO Qualified Solicitor | Higher Court Advocate | Story Listener | Emotional Mentor Rachel Elimelech is the warm, courageous voice behind Unspoken Emotions - a podcast that gives voice to the feelings we so often keep buried. Empowered by Darkness Andrea Medina Hi, I’m Andrea Medina. Though I’m in my early 20s, the history of relational trauma in my family lineage coupled with my own father’s abuse and abandonment, has instilled in me a self-awareness and sensitivity to emotions from a young age. I was born in México and raised in Compton, a community where I didn’t have many mentors or influences that pointed me in the direction of emotional healing work. Still, I went on to publish The Energized Self: A Journey to Interconnected Healing, a book that is half memoir and half conversations with trauma survivors at the age of 22. This same year I began my public speaking journey and my master’s program to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. As I find myself rising to fulfill my soul’s calling today, I am still in the same location where conversations like the ones had in this podcast aren’t common. I’m also faced with a myriad of economic and social challenges that I know listeners will relate to. My goal is that Never Alone Infertility Morgan and Madison Never Alone is a podcast for women navigating infertility, loss, and everything in between. We’re two friends whose paths intertwined during our own walks through infertility, and we understand how isolating and overwhelming the process can be. From the uncertainty of IVF to the heartache of miscarriage and the patience required in moments of waiting, we’re here for you.Join us each week as we have real and raw conversations about the challenges and emotions of walking through infertility and loss – both from our own experiences and speaking with other women. We’re glad you’re here, and hope you feel seen, supported and most of all know that you’re never alone. THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER Paul Gibbons THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER presents the 21st century’s leading entrepreneurs, scientists, philosophers, public intellectuals, and business and political leaders as they discuss the most important issues of today.
