Carothers Decision Could Shake 2027 Class

Louisville’s 2027 recruiting class is heating up as they eye a major win with Dre’mail Carothers, Kentucky’s top QB target, set to announce his decision today at 2 PM. After a back-and-forth with North Carolina, Louisville now holds a 91.9% chance to land the three-star signal caller — a huge boost after losing other recruits. Carothers, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound junior from Owensboro Catholic, threw for 4,000+ yards and 49 TDs last season, leading the state in passing. With five in-state commitments already, Louisville is doubling down on Kentucky talent — and Carothers could be the crown jewel of their 2027 strategy.
