En el programa de hoy (primero de dos capítulos) aprovechamos la presencia en el estudio de mi hermano sevillano Curro Barroso, más conocido como Variedub. Con él nos adentraremos en el mundo de la música reggae, siguiendo el recorrido de un artista con un amplísimo currículo como músico pionero del Dub y Steppa estatal, integrante de técnico de sonido, como productor y como editor, a través de su sello Dubstoned Records, de artefactos sonoros de altísima calidad. Sus inicios parten del 2004 como Selekta de Skisound System y co-fundador de @dubstoned_soundsystem. Como técnico y Dubmaster han pasado por sus manos casi todas las bandas de Reggae de Sevilla: Rockers Roots, Green & Brown, BassTnation, Bazar Orchestra… Como productor participa en proyectos musicales como 2BrotherSound, The Oniric Tree ó propiamente Variedub. Trabaja además de para su propio sello Dubstoned Records, para otros como Strictly Dub Records o Jah Chalice, teniendo en la calle referencias en digital y en vinilo, con grandes artistas nacionales e internacionales. En esta serie de dos capítulos que empieza hoy, nos sumergimos en el interesantísimo mundo de los sonidos jamaicanos gracias a la prestancia, el saber hacer y el profundo conocimiento del inigualalble Curro Barroso, alias “Variedub”. English: This is the first of two chapters, we enter the world of Reggae with the Sevillian artist, sound technician, editor of sound artifacts and pioneer of Dub and State Steppa Curro Barroso, stage name Variedub. With him we will enter the world of reggae music, following the journey of an artist with a very extensive musical resume as a pioneer of Dub and State Steppa, member of Dubstone Sound System, sound technician, producer and editor through his Dubstoned label. Records of very high quality sound devices. Its beginnings date back to 2004, being Selekta from Skisound System, a collective that covered everything related to Jamaican music. He is also co-founder of @dubstoned_soundsystem and almost all the Reggae bands from Seville have passed through his hands: Rockers Roots, Green & Brown, BassTnation, Bazar Orchestra... being a technician and Dubmaster. As a producer he participates in musical projects such as 2BrotherSound, The Oniric Tree or Variedub itself. He works for his own label Dubstoned Records, along with others such as Strictly Dub Records or Jah Chalice, having references on the street in digital and vinyl, with great national and international artists. In this two-part series that begins today we immerse ourselves in the world of Jamaican sounds with Variedub.
