Carroll announces retail crime crackdown on first day

Victorian Premier Ben Carroll has announced new workplace protection orders allowing courts to ban violent offenders from retail, hospitality and transport venues for up to 12 months. The legislation was introduced to Parliament but won't commence until July next year, with monitoring details yet to be finalised.
