Case File 168-The Hollow Moon Theory

from ALIEN THEORISTS THEORIZING · host Big Theory Podcasts

During the 1960s and ’70s, the world’s two largest superpowers vied to be the first to put a human on the surface of our closest planetary neighbor, the moon. Both the United States and the Soviet Union spent an immense amount of manpower and resources in order to study and map the lunar surface in preparation for this massive endeavor. NASA’s Apollo missions, from 1969-1972, put a total of 12 people on the moon. From these missions, valuable information and data were gathered that perhaps raised more questions than answers for scientists studying our lunar companion. Rocks that had been gathered from the surface-displayed magnetic properties that challenged previous theories of the moon not having a magnetic field. Seismometers placed on the moon picked up incredible readings that prompted remarks that the moon “rings like a bell” during impacts on the lunar surface. Even with the incredible amount of new information learned about the moon to date, scientists are still debating about the origins of the moon and its many mysteries. This case file, join the Theorists as they cut deep into the moon’s cheesy baked crust to explore the lunar interior in...The Hollow Moon Theory Support your boys and your favorite show on Patreon. 100 hours of bonus content, early access to extended live recordings of the show, bonus episodes, discord access, and more! Our Sponsors:* Check out Mood and use my code ALIEN for a great deal: https://mood.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
