Case Files #49: Kristin Smart | Autopsyfiles.org

Nineteen-year-old Cal Poly freshman Kristin Smart vanished walking home from a party on May 25, 1996. Fellow student Paul Flores promised to get her home safely — she was never seen again. Twenty-five years later he was arrested, and in 2022 he was convicted of first-degree murder without her body ever being found. Sentenced to 25 years to life; his conviction was upheld on appeal in 2025. Kristin has still never come home. The truth is in the files. At Autopsyfiles.org.
