Jesus calls us to abide in His story and in His words above all the other stories that are a part of our lives and the words that have been spoken about us, but how do we continue to do that on a day in day out basis? How do we know when we've begun to abide in another story or allow words that are spoken over us to shout louder than the voice of God? The answer lies in the next area we're called to abide in, and that's His empowerment, specifically the power of the Holy Spirit.He's not a what, He's not a power, He's not an energy or some other cosmic goo, nor is He merely a symbol or an "it." He is God and He is someone, that as a believer in Christ, not only reveals the truth of God to us, but the sin that easily holds us back, all the while pointing to Christ, the author and perfector of our faith.
