Cast Your Cares on Him: 1 Peter 5:6-11: Day 20

We can release our anxieties to God because the One who holds our lives is also the One who cares for us. Peter knows something about anxiety. He knows what it means to face circumstances you cannot control. And his answer is simple: Humble yourself under God's mighty hand. Then: Cast all your anxieties on Him.Not some. Not the ones that seem spiritual enough. All of them. Because He cares for you. Peter doesn't tell us to pretend our anxiety isn't real. He tells us where to take it. And then he reminds us to stay spiritually alert because we have an enemy who wants to use fear, suffering, and discouragement to pull us away from God. But Peter ends with hope: the God of all grace will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish His people.Reflection: What anxiety are you carrying today that you need to consciously place into God's hands?
