Castell Grind 2025 -- How I got on a normie gravel podium

from Holy Spirit of Gravel · host HSOG productions

The Holy Spirit of Gravel travels to Castell, TX and ends up on the podium of the normie distance of a normie race.  She continues to add to her normie palmares in order to pitch sponsors in her inevitable meme admin to privateer arc.  Gravel Dad and the Holy Spirit discuss the rise of hitter-coded normies, watt pushing gravel dads, and cycling body dysmorphia when you are an American non-hitter in Pas Normal. It was a muddy weekend in Castell that resulted in slower times, but yielded higher results.  This pod has to be about as interesting as a Lifetime GP reject talking about their 19th place. So how to get on a gravel podium according to HSG?-push up to the front at the start-how to not be afraid of hitter coded riders-don't train with power or heartrate, just ride on VIBES-steal Pas Normal bottles that fell out of bottle cages at bumpy parts of the course-when there's bad weather leading up to the race, just go to the race anyways-aggressively flick your elbow and yell at people for not pulling (even though neither of you are actually good at cycling)-the fall of Chase Collins and the local hitter to privateer pipeline.
