South African Olympic Champion Caster Semenya is once again making headlines around the world. This after the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) proposed regulations that target female athletes with androgen excess, which is a medical condition characterised by having excessive levels of male sex hormones such as testosterone. The IAAF is now enforcing that female athletes take medication to reduce their testosterone levels. Semenya is currently fighting her case in Lausanne, Switzerland involving the IAAF and Athletics South Africa. The South African Minister of Sports Thokozile Xasa and a delegation of experts are currently in Switzerland to support Caster Semenya’s case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).We are joined for the 1st time this year to unpack all those by:1.
