Casting Off the Old, Putting On the New

from HopeUC East Hosted by HopeUC India

Ever feel stuck in your spiritual growth? That simple Sunday school line—“He’s still working on me”—holds deep truth. Transformation isn’t instant; it’s a lifelong journey that takes intention and grace. Spiritual growth means shedding our old nature, not just adding new habits. Many struggle because they either hold onto old patterns or fail to fill the gap with Christ’s character. Paul’s words in Philippians 3 give us the blueprint: forget the past, focus on Jesus, and press on toward maturity. Like Jesus and Paul, we’re called to live with purpose and finish strong. What’s holding you back? Past pain? Distractions? Today is your chance to refocus. Fix your eyes on Jesus—the journey is hard, but knowing Him is worth everything.
