Castle Dale, UT - Quiet! There's a Fire in the County Library

from Small Town News · host Small Town News

Welcome to Castle Dale, Utah, "A Great Place to Live, Work and Play"!  Located in Northwestern Utah, Castle Dale is the county seat of Emery County.  Initially the town was supposed to be named Castle Vale after the castle-like geological formations in the area, but the post office listed it as Castle Dale, and the name stuck.  The town is home to the Pioneer History Museum which highlights pioneer life in the late 1880s.  The area is also home to the Museum of the San Rafael Swell.  The museum exhibits include dinosaur skeletons, taxidermied animals including a yellow-bellied Marmot, and artifacts from around the area made by an unknown prehistoric culture.  There is a lot going on in Castle Dale!  We hope you enjoy our exploration of this fascinating little town. Small Town News--whose headline is it, anyway? @SmallTownNewsImprov
