Right. But, um, that's kind of what the show was about. So we want to welcome you to catch one of them. At a place where you can be nerdy without being an expert.
A place where you can be real without being woke. Now, what do we mean by that? If you watch Game of Thrones and you don't know who made it, this is the, that's okay. This is the place for you.

How do we wait? Like I thought these episodes have been a season one, bro. Yeah, I mean, I don't know why we do the boys. I don't know.
The boys came out when we were on like hiatus though. Yes. That's why I was. Okay.
And today the same thing. So today we're talking about invincible. Yes. The other one I went like like 2021.
Yeah. So it came out. This is the other big Amazon show that people were clamoring over. Can you take a moment here and acknowledge Chris's best?

The way I was going yesterday, I was about to run out about the one on spec ops mission. It wasn't okay. But you know, you know, bro, someone had someone had pointed out to me that fucking Naruto was always yelling. Every time he saw.
I was like, damn bro, he really do be yelling a lot. When he went on, yeah, they calmed down. My guy like Jesus Christ. You know, I think about it and I feel like Naruto probably has some kind of mental disability.
Like when I think about it in a larger scale, like from childhood going up and, you know, and it wasn't his fault. Like he grew up by himself, ostracized by the entire city. Like, so he acted out and I feel like that became a part of the personality. Like, like, I said, I said very much like that is what I love to compare them.
But there's other characters too that you can see like they're they and people are like they project themselves in a conversation. I do that, you know, like my voice isn't always like my normal voice. Sometimes I get very animated because you get passionate about stuff and those kind of people to get passionate about whatever they happen to be talking about. So, you know, I give it to them.
Right. But yes, invincible. Amazon Prime Show that came out 20, 20, 20, along with the boys. I just want to say like this going in, I had no idea what that show was going to be about.
I had no, I thought I really thought so trailer and I was like, you know what they had the trailer in 2020. They just had like just a name and we were like, so it gave people time to look it up. But like, I had never looked it up. I literally was on, I think I was on Amazon Prime and I just happened to see the trailer come up and I was like, what's this?
And it's like the first episode I was like, okay, let me go and check it out. I had no idea what it was because I'm like a regular new like comic book show like, you know, and that's the best day, like Men in Black or one of those like shows back in the day. I put the show on. I'm like, you know, I'm good for you.
You're good for the first half. Not going up. I'm chilling for the first half of the show. I was like, you know, it's not bad.
You know, I could see myself watching this. You know, I might get bored out the while, but I could see he's basically, you know, coming to a superhero. You know, dad's superhero. You got to come.
I get it. You know, so that's a little interesting spin. You know, I'm saying, and then the credits come on the episodes over. Okay, cool.
And then, and then it's just, you know, I'm going to read the Wikipedia. So now it's real quick because I think it kind of gives it to you invincible as an adult animated superhero television series based on the image comic series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, also the creator of the Walking Dead, which is why you see a lot of people from the Walking Dead on this show. Right. Um, prepare to Amazon Prime video.
The show follows 17 year old Mark Grayson and his transformation into superhero under the guidance of his father, Omni Man, the most popular being on the planet. During the transformation, Mark finds himself struggling between the personal life and superhero duties where he will be forced to prove that he can be he can be the superhero his father is the series stars, Stephen Yoon, Sandra Oh and JK Simmons as a Grayson family, while the rest of the cast serve as the current characters. I was scared of the second paragraph, but like, bro. All I must say is that that sounds so wholesome.
That sounds like a sound like such a wholesome plot. It does. And then it goes to complete fucking carnage by the time the credits roll. I was like, yo, I was like, yo, I was so shocked by what I saw.
I was like, bro, this man really, really, really, I remember that. Like we always like, yo, now watch it. Go watch it. Don't we?
We didn't want to talk about it because none of us voted. We all said, yo, just go watch it. I was in LA and I was talking about it. I was, you know, you know, zero, right?
I was talking to zero and I was like, yo, zero. Have you seen events where he was like, nah, what's that? And I was like, bro, I just put it on. He's like saying the same thing.
He's like, oh, it's like no chill fucking cartoon show. You know what I'm saying? And then when your credits come, he goes, bro, what the fuck did I just like, bro? It was like, I was like, yo, this is insane.
I was like, yo, I remember like texting someone that has a son and I was like, yo, I don't think that your son should watch this show. I feel like it starts out okay, but then it gets this real, real violent at the end. And I was like, damn, this show wasn't fucking incredible. And it just proceeded to get better every episode.
I was like, this might be one of the best animated shows for adults ever. I was like, this is like, I like this duo episode because we talked about the boys, which is one of the best, if not the best super. Oh, yeah, let's bring up the stats because I sent it to you and I want to bring it up. Okay, let's let's because we said it.
And then it became true at the same time. So what did I send you yesterday? Amazon Prime's the boys outperformed all of Marvel Studios Disney Plus series to become 2022's most watched superhero program. Right.
That I put a voice for that. They're shooting season four right now. I mean, because you know what it is like, and we can go back into this. Well, you know what it is.
The reason why the boys outperformed Marvel and Disney Plus is because the reality is the primary consumers of these things are older and they want to see real life consequences to these heroes actions. Right. And unfortunately, Marvel has to keep a piece of his 13. They can't go to Ray.
They don't want to. At least they don't want to suffer with the Deadpool. Right. So it's like if they if Marvel decided to go to Ray are on some of their stuff, you would see that same kind of.
That line is just a boy's does it? You know, it's hilarious. It's a good. It's a fucking mess of a time and it's like, it's just a great show.
And that's why that's why I performed like it's really that one thing. I'm telling you right now, we got Ray are Marvel shows. I doubt that they would outperform any of the time. Yeah, because yeah, yeah.
Like if you started making people start cursing in movies and it wouldn't bring the quality up to 100 fold. Right. Because at this point now, like is that if it was like it's such a Disney-fied version of the MCU was like, we're expecting it to be that way. Because like I can't I can't say that they'd be like, oh, the boys like broke the wheel.
I'm like, no, the boys has an edge to it that Marvel can't have. And Marvel's been out. I mean, I've been doing this for like a pretty long time now trying to tell this cohesive story. The boys is his own story itself.
They're not trying to connect with something else. You know what I'm saying? So it's very different. It's very different in aspect.
I want to get back to it. I don't want to say. Yeah. Yeah.

The family is the main cast. Let's understand that everyone else is just kind of there. They go in and out of. Right.
And then some of them don't even last that long. So that's another thing. So, yeah. I mean, we can talk about the season.
I mean, if you haven't watched the boys, I mean, sorry, if you ever watched the Invincible yet, I mean, we're about to have season two. Yeah. So I mean, we can talk about it. I don't think it's like a thing like we're supporting anybody.
This show is, you know, spoiler, spoiler, I got to do it again. Mark's father is on the man and he's the resident basically Superman. He's like OP. He's like strong as shit.
He's a vulture. Right. Yeah. He's a vulture.

He's being the country of the planet. And you know, he gave the whole story that he's here to, you know, protect Earth and be his protector. And I came off like, I'm the only one that could protect Earth. Like he was like, yo, nobody else can protect Earth but me.
And I was like, bro, that's a little sus, no, a little strange. Exactly like that. You know, and basically midway through, we see that this nigga has been full of shit this entire fucking time. And he is here to conquer Earth and add it to the vulture.
Right. Rain, a plan is that they conquered basically vulture might conquer planets. They don't come to protect them. And, you know, he's been lying to his wife.
He had a son by accident. He wasn't supposed to have a son. That wasn't supposed to happen. He was not supposed to go there and get married or have a kid.
That was not supposed to happen. Well, well, well, spoilers for season two and three. He wasn't supposed to like them. They were supposed to be, they have to repopulate the vulture, my population.
So they're already encouraged to sleep around. But the market is so far, the only one I was like, nah, I don't want to do this. I don't want to join you. I don't want to do like so far every time every other time has been successful.
And it's kind of like Dragon Ball Z a little bit like, you know, same blood, mixed with human blood, mixed with a little bit stronger and more more unpredictable. I'll start with no more. That's one thing I do really find interesting like Marcus testing, like a Gohan kind of character where he has rage moments. Is that why he got his ass beat the entire go on?
How is getting whooped? Is that why he got his ass? Why he got whooped? Beat the fucking entire fucking season, bro.
But I'm always saying, I'm going to tell you right now, guys, this is like, you know, Mark ain't catch one W that entire season, bro. He called W and street level people. Did he? That one guy with the laser.

So let's go in order. Right. We're going to like, kind of critical. We're going to like kind of quickly run through the season, like the major beats, right?
A lot of the stuff. So the people pop up that become relevant later. Like super, super, little like kind of stuff. But we're not going to go into that because I feel like there's something, there's something for you to go watch.
So but the general consensus is that like, it starts off like, Oh, Mark's dad is a superhero and he has no powers and he's waiting like his whole life. He's been told, Yo, one day you're going to start to get powers and you're going to be like me. So very dovey in that sense. Like I could be like you that like, but you really can't but like, so.
And no, what happened was they didn't think it was going to come because it should have came already. And I remember the pops was like, that was what he was concerned. He switched when Mark started getting powers. Like up until then he was not thinking about conquering the planet.
Not necessarily necessarily. He wasn't like, I'm about to do it right now. Once Mark got his powers. That was it.
Like it was like, I now I have to like, I'm going to do it real quick. I got to like, yeah, yo. Oh, wait, my last episode, we're going to get this. Man.
I mean, I can serve the flash real quick. Yeah. I mean, I can fucking be my lawyer. Bro shit.
I don't want to spoil. I don't want to tell you guys what happened. All I'm going to tell you is that I mean, is the epitome of violation, bro. I'm gonna say like, he don't waste no time.
Like, if you think if you thought that, um, Homelander was, was a fucking vicious asshole fucking on the man would beat Homelander into the ground. Because Homelander doesn't have like an overall agenda. I'm the man has a present agenda. He is on the planet because he has orders.
That is why he's there. He's not there to just, you know, he did say he kind of got this illusion after some time. But like you said, he snapped that into like, I have a mission to do. Right.
And what's crazy is, as we go to start to see later in the other seasons, if you read the book, I'm the man I'm the worst one. He ain't the worst one. He's not even the worst one out of his race, bro. I thought like maybe he was like the OG.

When it's our getting to the vulture might stuff and all that, we're not going to spoil that. I mean, we can kind of talk about it. I mean, you guys are going to see that stuff for years, but the only person I'm looking forward to seeing is a drag, bro. Drag is the leader of the country.
You guys don't know. Drag is the leader of the vulture. At this time. Yeah.
At this time. And I'm looking forward to seeing his appearance. Oh, and he's the one that, um, instituted that Civil War that they talked about, but like they had to fight it in the strongest. It was him because they were conquesting the regular way in the past.
Right. And then they got to a point first, they kept genetically altering themselves to get these powers that they have now. They weren't, they all the engine, they just get it like that. It's not like it's over time.
They all to the DNA and gave themselves a better quality. So then at certain point, the whole population had this base power level of flight and other super strange stuff like that. Um, then at some point, the one person says, Hey, we can kind of be peaceful now. Like we can kind of just go, we don't have to keep taking over the rest of the universe.
Um, and then. And then, and then after that, that's when the ride cool was engineered to be like the ultimate warrior was like, I wasn't built for that. I wasn't built for peace. And then he instituted that Civil War and a lot of people agreed.
And then that's when you get the stoward that we know now, but he is that he's, he's, he is kind of staging a cool because the old person I was in charge was the actual king. The rags is not the king in terms of like lineage and all that, right? But the sun went to exile and nobody knew who the king son was because if they knew they're like, oh, well, he's automatically going to be in a fleet of like, the rag would not have been put in place. You're going to find out probably in like season five or season six that Omni Man Nolan is that son.
He is the son of the ex vulture my king, making mark the Prince of the vulture mites and the rag eventually figures that stuff out too, which also gives him an extra target on their back. Like, you got to go. So, like, but this next season, we're going to get conquest and do with the metal hand. Oh, Lord.

You maintain holding on. You hold it on, bro. But let's listen to some of the other characters. Debbie, which is Mark's mom, which is basically, you know, it was mad funny when I spoke to her, bro.
You know, I mean, I mean, really your savage, bro. Then he said, like, yo, bro, like he basically act like she was a side piece, bro. I'm like, bro, this nigga is. Yo, look at the vicious, bro.
That's what it got, bro. And the crazy part is that like, he wasn't necessarily like mean for a majority of the stuff. But you could tell like, it's a lot of, I hate to, I ain't going to do it. There's a lot of people, a lot of men, a lot of women who walk around looking at their part, like imagine the entire time.
And we all have seen the mean by now where Mark basically, Mark's turning point was the fact that I mean, didn't really value his family. Because again, how are you going to tell your son that I don't care about your mom? Like, I see your mom as more like, actually, well pet, like I could see her as like, I came to this planet and there's a bunch of dogs. And I basically just pick the dog and was like, that's mine now.
Like, that's what happened with that. And to tell the offspring was like, yeah, you know, that's how I think the mom, like my mom, like you can't, you know, so I appreciate that. But like, man, like she, she, she was on her own stuff too. She was investigating.
She wanted to know stuff. She was not playing because she was not, she wasn't emotional either. She wanted to know. She knew that man killed them in charge of the issue.
Yeah. Yeah. She knew. She knew.
She knew that. She knew that man. But she knew that man. All that funny part about all of this is everyone scrambling around to solve this case and figure this stuff out.
And the funny part about all of this shit is that even if you're find out in the truth, what are you going to do about it? No, I didn't see so. See, so who's the head of government said that events were the only shot? Like, bro, no, he's not.
No, he's not. He is not. Yeah, better on getting the battle beat to come and do something because I'm telling you right now. Like Mark can't do shit.
Mark cannot do a damn thing, bro. Mark can't do nothing. So I don't know when he'll be able to do something. But as of now, Mark is clipped as far as like actually doing any damage to Omniman except for maybe emotional damage, which even I don't really know, like because he bought the kill him, bro.
So I don't really know. I think we discussed this a little bit at some point, but like the voltrimites pretty much they like to operate on the thing where it's like you naturally get stronger as you get older. So if you live a long time, you will naturally be stronger than someone who's younger than you. The interesting part about the show is that Mark constantly has to fight all the voltrimites all the time.
People who he seemingly should never be able to win against. We're going to see how that turns out for sure. But like the girlfriend stuff, don't care. Now, I don't know.
Oh, yeah. The Amber stuff. I'm not going to discuss Amber in the show. A lot of people feel like she was being annoying.
And that's just main character syndrome because Amber was the girl that he was trying to get with that he liked in school. And she was very on like a brand about honesty. And Mark couldn't tell her about all the superhero stuff. And to the point where she said that she figured it out, it was mad that he didn't tell her.
And at that point, I was like, all right. So now if there were real superheroes on planet Earth and you found out that this person was hiding about that they were superhero from you, like in that moment, I think people put a lot of weights on relationships that are not marriages. Like I think that's something that you tell your wife, you know, you tell your husband or like if you're planning to marry the girl for real. But like you don't just be like, Amber, I like you and also I'm a superhero.
You don't do that. You want to do that. You want to do that. Especially if you know you can't especially knows the dangers of them for them.
Like every superhero show is the same as that trope. And it's like even but the funny product in real life, you have people who work for the government and you can't talk about what they do. They can't even tell you they work in special. You can't tell you that.
So are you saying that they don't deserve any relationship? I mean, when they get married, you have people that know like, okay, my so-and-so works for the FBI. Right. But that's about all you might have protocols in place.
Like if something happens, you have to do this. That's that's all you know. You don't really know. I do think that Mark should have not tried to date while trying to figure out his powers or he should have just gave her like a I'm working with the people that work with Omni-Man.
I got scouted. You know, he could have thought of an actual better lie to tell Amber and say, listen, I'm doing I'm getting scouted by you see the people on a TV like that. They want something from me. I'm not too sure what it is.
Mark's a teenager, man. Like what is he? He don't know that. His dad's not giving points because his dad is dad.
He's dad. He's dad. He's on telling what to do. So it's like.
His dad basically used the family as a beard. You know the term? No. Like he used the family to create his secret identity.
Right. Cause when he showed up, he was his Omni-Man. Right. Adam Eve, she's going to become a really made character going forward.
I was going to get into like the most powerful characters in the Vince. You're going to rank her now? You mean like it? Okay.
Wait. Out of the whole show or like who we've seen so far? No, out of the whole. I mean, cause honestly, if we've got to basically see so far, definitely Omni-Man.
So. Definitely. I mean, it's not Alan. Actually, it's not Alan.
Actually, if you had to go to go based on it, I would say it's Battle Beast. Battle Beast. You think Battle Beast can be Omni-Man? I do.
I think that Omni-Man could probably be him, but because like I know that Battle Beast and Thrag eventually fight and he had Thrag on the fucking ropes. That's a fact. I can say for sure that he can't wait to see that. That's going to be honorable.
Battle Beast is really that guy, bro. Like he's that person that pulls up. You drop his soul. You'll pick that up.

Then it would be Mark invincible. But honestly, we don't really know. We don't know what Mark fights have only been against lesser people. So he doesn't have experience fighting.
And I think that's, I think that's also what makes the vote for my stronger over time is not just naturally getting stronger. That does happen, but also the idea that you'll be fighting. You'll be fighting some of that time. You'll continue to get better, like a saying.
If you lose, and I think that's what happens to Mark. Low key. I think he gets beat up and he gets stronger, like a saying. We're gonna see him see them too, because I because it's either you get killed or you survive.
And I think a lot of times, the vocalist will get a chance to heal. It usually just get killed to a certain degree. Like by other and the only way to really kill a vulture mind is with another vulture mind. So and sidebar, Ezra Miller is the voice of the ace and claire, which was one of the two people in film season one.
So, you know, that Mahershala Ali was the voice of Titan. Yes, I know that. Justin Royal and was the verse of Doug Cheston, who is not, that guy died on the show. So I'm gonna worry about that.
Other names of note. Hold on. Let me see. Zazzy Beast was Amber.
She's still my being season two, but I'm just gonna tell you from now, Mark Wanda with Adam Eve, you know, which makes me annoyed because now that Amber's black, it paints a really weird picture to me. Because he's gonna want it with Adam Eve, but he was he was he wanted Amber, but he winds up naturally getting with him. But Amber was like, I'm kind of over this. So him and Adam kind of get closer.
Hey, bro. Yeah, there's more fish in the sea, bro. Like, how do you feel about them? Okay.
Do you want to answer this question about the waste, what about Amber? I just felt like I don't know why it needed to happen. What Amber and the comics was like a blonde blue-eyed white woman. Wasn't a black girl.
So I don't know. I just chalk it up to you like Zazzy was probably just better for the role. So they made her black. I mean, like I said, guys, these characters are not like they don't have to be it's just it's it's fiction.
It's not real. They can do whatever they want to do. You know, and not like invincible was like this like super, super popular comic where they had to stick to what they wrote. They can change anything anytime.
Right. That's why I love these adaptation. I consider these adaptations because when the and this is why people talk about this when the person who made the original property is involved. That means that whatever you're going to see, like including, for example, I said this about bleach, right now to animating thousand of blood work art, Kubo said I'm going to be putting in extra information that wasn't in the manga because I'm able to go back over the material now and I can add in things that I thought about after the fact I can make this better than it was before.
And that's what the show is doing and it's better for it. It is better for it. And also he said it's different than you can't just make take a comic and make it book by book. You can't do that.
You have to be dramatic. I have to fit in and happen. I would time slot on I would time slot and then you have to be able to provide a through line that that that fills out the show because the comic. If you did the comic, there was something that in season one and weren't even present that I think is better now than it was before.
Like for example, his best friend was in the closet from a majority of the show. It wasn't openly like I'm talking about men. I like that change because society has progressed and you don't have to hide like that anymore. And we're trying to have a plot line like the queen may think trying to have a plot line of just somebody trying to rebuild themselves to the world.
That's not really a plot line anymore. That should just be the standard. Someone should be able to beat themselves. So all of those things is tied together back into Mark learning how to be a superhero, working with the government.
And ultimately finding out that his dad is a big guy liar. And this emotional switch. Emotionally, the switch up. Nolan went from hugging his wife to killing pilots for no reason, bro.
Just to prove to Mark, you can't stop me, can't stop this, it is what it is. I'm like, but you don't have to, bro. Yeah, man. You know what sucked when he punched him so hard and he flew into the city.

Like technically she like she could gain weight in the like as much as I said to just not be heavy. She could do a lot of things. She could again, really interesting power is one of them is one of them things where there's a lot of people who have powers like this and they use it in different ways. Like I said, mental blocks because when you have powers and you think about like, there's two ways to do this thing and then you go out and you experience more things or you realize that what you've been doing is sub power compared to what you can actually do because when you start just creating things a lot of nothing, you start thinking about what they can do this with anything.
