Instead we get a lovely, oddly personal, tale about childhood imagination and the ghost of our dad's ex-wife. The Curse of the Cat People (1944) takes place 6 years after the first film. Oliver Reed and Alice are married and have a daughter, Amy. Amy is a creative, whimsical child who struggles to relate to her peers. One day, Amy starts talking to an imaginary friend...the ghost of Irena! And then she makes friends with an elderly woman who hates her daughter, there's a lot happening. Also this movie takes place in THEE Sleepy Hollow.
