Cat News: Operation Cat Drop True Story of Cats Falling From the Sky

from The Nightline with Cheralyn Darcey · host 2HD

What happens when you spray for mosquitoes, accidentally wipe out cats, and suddenly find yourself with a rat problem? In 1960s Borneo, the answer was astonishing: parachute cats into remote villages. Discover the strange true story behind Operation Cat Drop, the ecological domino effect caused by DDT, and how cats ended up falling from the sky. It sounds like a cartoon, but this bizarre chapter of history really happened. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
