Ya know what, maybe it is alright– because despite Troy ignoring her DM in 2019, we are talking to the wonderful and talented Cat Popper on Episode Four of “Load-In Through the Back!” Cat is your favorite bassist's favorite bassist. She was an original member of Ryan Adams & the Cardinals. She toured the globe with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. She plays drums (sort of) with Sasha Dobson and Norah Jones as the female power-trio Puss N Boots. That’s not to mention Jack White, Brian Fallon, Jesse Malin, and the host of other artists whose live and recorded music has been bolstered by the signature sounds of Cat’s ‘66 P-Bass.  As if that wasn’t enough, she released two singles under her own name for Velvet Elk Records in 2020 and 2021.
