By her thirties she'd figured out she could mix vodka with coke and Xanax and stay personable instead of sloppy. She thought she'd solved the riddle of life.There was no movie-grade rock bottom. There were car wrecks and missed bedtimes and 4am anxiety attacks from over-drinking. There was a marriage that nearly broke.
