Catechism Class: Lord's Day 2, Q3-5, 'The Broken Law.'Our instructor in the Heidelberg Catechism begins his teaching on the inherent Sin and Misery of mankind, in questions 3-5.  Hw do we know we are sinners?  Because the LAW of God sets the standards for our behaviour in life.  The purpose of life is to love God and our neighbour.  The law will convince us how far short of those ideals we fall.  Far from loving God, in our natural state we hate him, and we hate many of our neighbours.  In this short class we explore this important topic, knowing that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.  Read the Transcript here.
