A press conference held to present the Bishops' resolutions and statements formalised at their April 2018 plenary meeting took place at the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales on Friday 20 April 2018. To cover the issues in more depth, the panel consisted of Bishop John Sherrington, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster, Fr Chris Thomas, General Secretary of the Bishops' Conference, Dr Philip McCarthy, Chief Executive of the Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN) and Isaac Withers who represented the Catholic youth of England and Wales at a pre-Synod meeting in Rome ahead of the main Synod of Bishops gathering that will cover the theme 'Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment'.
