What would happen to your pet if you went to the hospital unexpectedly? If you lost your housing? If you left a domestic violence situation? Pet owners in at-risk situations often find they have no choice but to surrender their beloved pet to a local shelter.. But Pawster Nashville, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2020, is working to reduce that number. Pawster Nashville provides a service called Crisis Foster Care: When a pet owner is in crisis, Pawster Nashville places their cat or dog in a foster home, until the owner is back on their feet and ready to be reunited. Crisis Foster Care keeps pets out of shelters, and it keeps families together.
