Catwalks, Rap Beefs, Reading, Rolling Therapy

from After SchoolEd Hosted by AfterschoolEd

For our biggest ever show, we start at the Met Gala, breaking down the best looks from this year's show. Sticking with pop culture- with Chef dropping some historical background and English lit cred- we take on the big rap battle of the summer: Kendrick v Drake. In between we do a Name It segment, and another Smash or Pass. The third segment has us taking on the heart of a very important quesiton: What is the most important thing I can do to encourage good college results from my kid(s)? It's way way way easier than you might think and the data overwhelmingly points in one direction: read to them. It's easy to be tempted by new apps, new tech etc, but that one constant remains: read, read, read. A segue segment so special it gets its own music drop, Chef's fave: Koan Koan Git, where we talk about a koan, marvel at it, and sometimes we even learn from it. This week, talking about one of Chef's favorite Koans: Cat on a Flagpole. Finally, we break our own rules and add a fourth segment, making this ep ridiculously long. It's our first ScratchEd segment, wehre we talk about our journey with cancer. First up: we're talking about ecstasy therapy, increasingly used in end of life situations. Finish with a quick Tip Out, and we're out. We'll see you who knows when for Ep 5. It's an editors nightmare. Chef is completely deranged. Ep 6 is the first ep we'll record and release right away. We're shooting for Back to School season in mid to late August.

They call it “running in slow motion,” and that pretty much sums up the vibe. Explicit EDS SQUAD AFTER DARK Elijah Smalls Come in and enjoy funny commentary on your favorite celebs, tv and films. Explicit F*ck Surviving, We're Thriving Malina Lopez Hello beautiful humans! I have been on my holistic healing journey since 2020 after a massive awakening thanks to a sound healing ceremony. Since then I have dedicated my free time to health and healing (when I'm not too consumed with being a mama of two). Health is something that has always been important to me, but healing myself in a holistic way has allowed me to become a version of myself I am truly proud of. I had no idea there was an option for living life outside of survival mode. As someone who has been in some state of fight, flight or freeze since I was a small child the idea of any other life seemed out of reach and down right unrealistic. I honestly thought how I was living and feeling was totally normal. Once I started to heal all parts of myself down to the cells I am made up of I realized life is so much more than people pleasing, anxiety attacks and living life in a haze. I've been exciting that survival mode and entering my era of thriving. I feel ready and so e Explicit
